Tiki mugs are like potato chips... you can't have just one. 😝 They are quite addictive. I've never attempted to count the number of mugs my husband and I have (I wouldn't be surprised if it's over 150), because we can't possibly keep them all out at once. There's some on shelves, some in glass cases, some in storage, some still packed in bubble wrap, and even a couple in a pile we've named the "I hope to hell we can glue these back together" pile.
But there is one that stays out all the time... and it's one of my favorites because it's so different than any of our other tiki mugs. It's this creamy white and orange striped piece by Johnny Velour Ceramics. It's so darn beautiful with an oh so subtle Moai profile and a cute little smile. I have to say it's one of those things that just makes me happy to look at. And even happier when I pour some rum in there. 😜
And if I do say so myself, I kinda like the way my dendritic agate tiki drink necklace looks propped against it. A match made in heaven.
