An Escapade at The Starlux Motel in Wildwood, NJ - Part 2. The Airstream

So I know you've been waiting with baited breath... and you're at the end of your seat... and you just popped some popcorn (with butter of course) in anticipation of Part 2!! OK, wishful thinking, but anyway, here it is. 😃
When we were researching fun mid-mod places to stay in Wildwood... we came across these cool-as-beans Air Stream trailers. Finding out they were part of the Starlux Motel was even better... because it just meant a short walk across the street to get to them.
After staying at the the actual Motel part of the Starlux for a night, we gathered up our bags and were given the keys to our 1956 trailer. There were 2 Airstreams that were elevated, meaning set up where you had to walk up a few stairs to get to them. The little area was super kitschy cool... complete with astroturf, fun colorful plastic lights, a plastic table/chairs and well... a grill! Yay! But, being that we were still feeling the aftereffects of Hurricane Jose... it was too dang windy to grill. Good Lord... can't risk the chance of losing a hot dog to a burst of wind. (So once again, please forgive the dank, dreary gray skied pics).
Once we opened the door to our Airstream... wowzers... super cool!! I fell in love. Like instantly. I won't mince words... I'll let the pics speak for themselves.
It really ended up being more spacious than I thought and had all the amenities you could want! There was a TV, a kitchenette with a small refrigerator, microwave, and utensils and dishes, and more! The little bathroom even had a small shower and the bed was Queen sized and comfy. The air conditioning system kicked butt too!
I highly recommend staying at the Starlux Motel in Wildwood, and in their cool Airstream trailers. What a fun experience! My parents even stopped by to check it out (they were staying in Cape May for the week, and had to come by to see it for themselves.)
I can't wait to go back when there's no hurricane after-effects so we can hang out, grill, and chill with our other Airstream neighbors. Giddyup!!!!
